What does a UFO/extraterrestrial really look like? All things considered, I suppose this one is as valid a rendition as anyone else’s. So far, at least!

The 6-pointed configuration was appropriated from a commercial on OPB and then somehow morphed into the shape of a rocket. If Gene Roddenberry and Star Trek can have beings that are part machine and part biological I imagine that it’s also okay to take ‘beaders’ license’ with our projects.

To make the structure appear more man-made I chose Delicas in white, two shades of silver and mirror-crystal, while trying to maintain the natural feeling using Japanese and Czech pearls and seed beads.

The launching pad, flames and lights were simply added for emphasis, and the result of a runaway imagination.

 I always wondered why freedom was so important, special, and highly valued by me and my family. Then I traveled to my ancestral home in Latvia and discovered the genetic component that came to me through my paternal grandparents. The Latvians over the last 100 years have fought several times for their independence. First November 18, 1918, known as Bear Slayer Day, when the defenders of Riga defeated the pro-German Voluntary Western Russia army, or simply the army of Bermont, and declared Latvia an independent state. Then again in 1994, with the fall of the Soviet Union, Latvia was finally able to once again push the Russian military (bear) out and declare themselves free once more.
