General Membership Monthly Meetings
General meetings are held every 4th Wednesday from September through June with no meetings held in December, July or August. This is our monthly event for which we have a very active membership who attend. Meetings are held at the Portland Bridge Club, Lloyd Center. For Directions see below.
Generally, every month we have a speaker complete with a slide show representing their work or the story they are telling. The topics might be marvelous lampworked beads and the artist who made them or how seed beads are made in the Czech Republic. We might hear from seed bead artists who use those little bitty beads to make fabulous necklaces or sculptural pieces. We might see a slide show about the families who make Hill Tribe Silver in Thailand. Around the winter holidays, we have a potluck. We offer very diverse subjects for a very diverse group of people who enjoy, like, or love beads.
Each month we feature one of our member artists. This is a treat and frequently the surprise of the night. You may not have known that the person sitting next to you was such an accomplished bead worker. You may be asked to step up to the podium one month or better yet, volunteer.
The meeting starts at 6:30 pm. We are always happy to see new faces so please come join us.

BOARD MEETINGS
Board meetings are generally on the 3rd Tuesday of the month. The Board meets VIA Zoom Meeting are from 6.30pm to 9pm.
Early Bird Beading
Come early to the meetings to bead. During the months in which General meetings are scheduled, PBS members can gather from 4:00 pm to 6:30 pm for Early Bird Beading. Linda Olsen organizes this activity. If Linda plans to teach a stitch or project for a particular month, she will post the lesson topic and a materials list to the PBS Facebook page.
